Carefully remove the core from the apple, then slice it into rings approximately 1 cm thick.
Break the dark chocolate into pieces and melt it in a heatproof bowl over a saucepan of simmering water, or in the microwave in short bursts, stirring until smooth.
Dip each apple slice into the melted dark chocolate, ensuring it's fully coated. Use two forks to carefully lift the apple slice out, allowing any excess chocolate to drip off. Place the coated apple slices onto a sheet of parchment paper.
While the chocolate is still wet, decorate the apple donuts with your favourite toppings. Drizzle with peanut butter, blueberries, sprinkles, pomegranate seeds, and rose petals.
Transfer the decorated apple donuts to the fridge and let them chill for at least 30 minutes, or until the chocolate has completely hardened.
For an extra crunch, lightly toast the apple slices before dipping them in chocolate.

If you don't have an apple corer, you can use a small round cookie cutter or a sharp knife to remove the core.
