
World's Best Lasagna
This classic lasagna is a comforting, hearty dish that's perfect for sharing. Layers of rich meat sauce, creamy cheese, and tender pasta make it a guaranteed crowd-pleaser!
Ingredients

Peel and finely chop the onion, mince the garlic, and measure out the basil, oregano, salt, and pepper.
Brown the sausage and beef in a large pan over medium heat, breaking it up with a spoon. Drain off any excess fat.
Add the onion and garlic to the pan and cook for 5 minutes until softened. Stir in the tinned tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 15 minutes.
In a bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, egg, and half of the mozzarella cheese.
Preheat the oven to 190°C (170°C fan).
Layer the lasagna in a baking dish: sauce, lasagne sheets, cheese mixture, mozzarella, and Parmesan. Repeat layers, finishing with sauce and cheese.
Bake for 45 minutes, or until golden and bubbly. Rest for 10 minutes before serving.
Finely chop the parsley and sprinkle over before serving.
For a richer flavour, use a mix of ground beef and Italian sausage.
